Pair of Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) 684 floorstanding loudspeakers in cherry cabinets. Used personally in my home theater in a smoke free home. Purchased directly from Georgia Home Theater, these have been great speakers. However, my new home has built-in Monitor Audio speakers, so I am selling these gems.
Specs: 35.8"H x 7.8" W x 11.8" D 40.1 lbs per speaker 1" Aluminum Dome Tweeter 6.5" Midrange / Woofer 6.5" Woofer Drive units are Kevlar
According to a Soundstage.com review, "The 684’s crossover is a 2.5-way design. First-order filters are used for the handoff of tweeter to midrange (at 4kHz). There is a low pass on the bass driver (at 150Hz). This allows the 684’s midrange driver to combine with the woofer to produce the low bass; the 684 is thus capable of being played louder and with less distortion in the bass than a comparable two-driver loudspeaker."
