Awesome pair of B&W 802D for sale.

The 802Ds' open, wide,
deep soundstage, which seemed almost completely disassociated from the
physical structures of the speakers themselves. Especially in the upper
midrange and treble, voices and instruments were magically arrayed in a
large three-dimensional space that began well in front of the speakers.

Three-way, floorstanding, reflex-loaded loudspeaker.

Crossover frequencies: 350Hz, 4kHz. Frequency response: 34Hz–28kHz, ±3dB, on axis (–6dB at 27Hz and 33kHz).
Dispersion within 2dB of reference response: ±60° horizontal, ±10° vertical. Impedance: 8 ohms nominal, 3.5 ohms minimum.
Sensitivity:
90dB/2.83V/m. Harmonic distortion (second and third harmonics, 90dB/m):
<1% (40Hz–100kHz), <0.5% (70Hz–100kHz).
Recommended amplification: 50–500W.
Dimensions: 44.7" (1138mm) H by 14.5" (363mm) W by 22.2" (565mm) D. Weight, each: 176 lbs (80kg) net, 196 lbs (89kg) shipping.

Not much to say that already hasn't been said about the revered 802D.
This particular pair of stellar speakers have been in carefully used in a condo (not overdriven) for the last two years.
The very minor aesthetic issues are a couple of small nicks, one grill pin is broken, and two nicks under one midrange. The photos highlight these very minor problems.

Both midrange drivers are a month old, a $700 feature.

Original
B&W shipping base forms and marlon (pod head) support with newer
B&W 802 outside box shells. I have personally packed them tightly (ask for photos showing the packing process) and
will wrap them to the strong pallet I have secured, as well as tip the driver ;-)

Questions for the seller
Why have the midrange FST drivers been replaced (if the speakers haven't been overdriven)?
Hello Dan, I'm sure when the problem first appeared as I work overseas and only get home about six weeks annually. Meaning it could have been present last year, time I was home. Anyway, I noticed a slight difference in teh sound produced by the speakers when I FINALLY had time to sit down and enjoy some tunes over two days when my wife was out of town. I swapped cables, preamp & amp channels...everything. Still I thought I have a problem. I have a high end sound level monitor I use for work and since its hard to hear the level of the other, say "good" driver, when your head is 18" from what you think is "bad". The meter led me to believe there was a difference in the mid-range only. With limited time to enjoy my system I ordered a new mid-range from B&W parts overnight. Installed it by following the video on the parts sight and bingo everything sounds balanced and great again. But when i removed the old one and had it on the moving blanket next to the new one there was a color difference. I can email you a photo of this, slight but not acceptable, I ordered a second driver since i can live with or sell anything that isn't perfect.
