Excellent condition. Original boxes. All brochures and accessories included. I purchased these from my local authorized dealer (Sundown One in Springfield IL).
There's a season of life for everything. 3 kids = a remodel at home...and my "audio nut room" is being transformed into a kid's play room.
I'm selling it all, and starting with my (beloved) B&W 803 D2's in gorgeous piano black. (Note: After the speakers sell I'll be listing two JL Audio 12" subs, Kimber Monocle XL speaker cable, Peachtree Audio Nova300 integrated amp, and more Kimber Kable.)
The 803 D2's were always my dream speaker. I kept them even after having a chance to bring home the 803 D3's. I owned the famous 805 D2's before these, and the 803's were everything I dreamed they would be.
On a personal note (and taste): I've owned several other speakers over the years, from some of the usual suspect boutique brands (Legacy Audio, Bryston, KEF) to bigger more widely known 'normal guy' brands (Klipsch, Paradigm, JBL)...and to me, nothing ever came close to the smooth, effortless, airy...DIAMOND. And the WIDE OPEN mid range....
Admittedly, I loved the B&W house sound from the first time I heard them.
If you're considering these, you already know all about them. I won't bother listing all their specs. If you need a refresher this might help: http://www.bowers-wilkins.com/downloads/product/review/803d-sound-stage-feb-2011.pdf
Bottom line is that these are in perfect working condition and have always been well cared for. Cosmetically, they're on par with a speaker well cared for in a smokeless, pet-less home.
All the drivers are in mint condition. I always left the grilles on in between listening.
I DO have all original boxes, packaging (including every piece of foam), manuals, brochures, and accessories. When you open these, my hope is that it will feel like you're opening new.
Credit Card and PayPal buyers will need to add the 3% to cover fees.
Buy with confidence. Check my Audiogon feedback, both as a seller and buyer.
Lastly, I really do prefer local pickup due to the size and massive weight. IF you're wanting to pay big shipping fees and are willing to work with me as I get quotes and options, I might consider it. No promises on that though. All the best, -Kyle
