Mirage M-1 - Flagship Tower Loudspeakers

At first glance the Mirage M1's look like conventional loudspeakers, however they are anything but conventional.  Their bi-polar (Not di-pole with rear firing drivers out of phase) design places complimentary driver on the front face and the rear panel, with the rear speakers playing IN-phase.  This is similar to what companies like Martin Logan and Magnepan do with a single diaphragm.  The advantage of this design is the lack of 'beaming' and 'ringing' heard on most flat panels.  Additionally, where flat panels tend to cancel out frequencies with the rear reflection, the cones in the M1 are so quick they actually reinforce those frequencies.  This effect has even been tuned further by placing the front and rear woofers are different heights off the floor.  To maintain critical timing each driver has its own internal cavity, isolated from its opposite compliment. 
 
The result.  A very balanced speaker that is very easy to place in a room.  The off-axis sound quality is near that of the very best speakers using this design.  The M1's are also praised for being extremely dynamic at even low volume levels, while still exhibiting a delicate and intimate soundstage.

Overall the cabinets are in very good condition.  The grills are clean with no holes, or tears.  The drivers are in excellent condition with no damage.
