Gallo Acoustics Nucleus Ref 2

For sale are my Anthony Gallo Nucleus Reference 2 loudspeakes in absolutely excellent condition. I would rate these at 9 out of 10 for age only and can find no dings, scratches or cosmetic flaws anywhere. Rare and desirable black on black color with the newer, spun aluminum Bassballs with custom, Dynaudio mid/woofers. These are considered superior to the older, vinyl ones. The stands are also the later model, square tubular, sand-fillable design which are heavier, more stable and better sounding than the older, curved Barcelona stands.

These feature the famous, 330 degree dispersion CDT tweeter and a crossoverless design. Gallo stopped making these because production costs were just too high. The Audiogon Bluebook shows the Nucleus Reference 2's as listing for $5500.00 in 1998 with a current, average resale value of $3349.00. I still consider these to be as musically satisfying as any speakers I've heard of any size at any price, and the fact that they are so manageable at just 3' tall and 38 pounds each, and produce clear and clean bass into the mid 20 Hz region is unparalleled. I've listened to all of the current generations of the Gallo Reference 3 series speakers and to my ear they simply do not compare.

I'm in Ashland, Oregon and would consider delivering these anywhere from the San Francisco Bay area to Portland, OR. for the price of gas. Shipping is crazy these days and I priced it at around $330.00 crated and insured per speaker at my local Propack store.  I'm willing to charge a flat $500.00 for both and take the loss, but you are of course welcome to arrange and pay for shipping yourself if you can find a better deal, or call me directly at 541-591-4369 and we'll work something out. Local pickup is obviously welcomed as are calls or emails with any further questions. I'm retired and pretty easy to reach most any time these days.  Cashier's or personal checks are welcome as payment with no fee but must clear the issuing bank before shipment.  Pay-pal or credit card adds 3% to the total.
