The M5 speakers sound stunning and play well above their price point. As with all GamuT products, they are over-engineered and very well made. Like any good speaker the M5s need a good source and amplification but work very well and sound great with a variety of tube and solid state amps.
These speakers in like-new condition and have less than 200 hours of use - no dings, dents or scratches. I will ship these speakers in the heavy factory wood crates which will ensure that they arrive in great shape.

As reviewed by Robert E. Greene in The Absolute Sound:
"In many respects, the $13,500 M5 is an engineering triumph, a most impressive realization of the goals just described. For a start, the speaker has a remarkable level of detail and transparency. One hears far, indeed, into the texture of the music. The micro-structure of piano notes, for example, is extremely well portrayed (piano notes have a complex decay pattern involving the interactions among the strings sounding the notes as their vibrations fade away). One has the sensation of hearing everything that there is to hear."
From John Brazier in Positive Feedback:
"For just over $13,500 GamuT has produced a remarkable speaker on par with the best in its class, and outdoing those I have experienced. Set up in the right sized room, and mated to quality electronics, I cannot image this speaker not being on your short list."
As reviewed in Hi-Fi News and Record Review:
"Ultimately the GamuTs do not seek to impress by any sense of false showmanship but are more than capable of generating a very open and capacious soundstage. Their low end is deep, tuneful and big-hearted – spinning ‘The Man Who Sold The World’ from Nirvana’s Unplugged LP [Geffen] gave a bass drum that was as vivid as we have ever heard it; each strike was firm and taut but without any sense of overhang."
