Cosmetic Description: 7/10 Very good cosmetic condition with some minor visible cosmetic wear including some fairly deep scratches and dings, mainly on the side surfaces. There are a few small indentations in the small woofers in the baffles and in one of the tweeter grill covers. This item shows some wear consistent with its age but is still presentable and sounds wonderful.

Other Notes: Prototype design by famed speaker designer Arnie Nudell. These are one-of-a-kind floorstanding speakers, previously owned by the CEO of PS Audio and good friend of Arnie, Paul McGowan. They were installed in the PS Audio showroom to demonstrate their hifi equipment and are of the same high quality seen in all Genesis designs. They were also used in some audio shows to demonstrate the fidelity of PS Audio electronics. The design is classic Genesis with G-stat electrostatic panels, eight woofers, and front+rear firing tweeters. Impressive looks and impeccable sound- these are landmarks in the hallowed halls of audiophilia, and a true testament to the late great Arnie Nudell.
Here is a note from the owner of the speakers "Speaker designer Arnie Nudell was responsible for loudspeakers that incorporated the EMIT/EMIM (midrange) ribbon drivers. These were flat (planar) quasi-ribbons that worked to move air based on the principal of electromagnetic repulsion. Variants were made, such as the EMIT-R or radial tweeter, and the SEMIT or super emit. Shown below is a picture I found on the internet of Arnie Nudell. It shows the last speaker that Arnie had been prototyping for many years at Genesis. According to my information it was proposed to list at around $35,000. This prototype was purchased by Paul McGowan, CEO of PS Audio from Genesis. Paul was a good friend and business associate of Arnie. Paul would use the speakers to show off PS Audio electronics. Shown below are the speakers set up at an audio show in the PS Audio’s showroom. When Paul started on his mission to purchase and install an original massive Infinity-IRS (Infinity Reference System) in his music room 1 at PS Audio, he put the Genesis prototype up for sale. He said he had bought these speakers from Genesis for $14,000. As luck would have it on the same day we sold the company that I was working for and I was flush. I took this as an omen and purchased these speakers for what Paul had paid for them and fell in love. This was the biggest and best upgrade ever for me as an audiophile ever. It put me in rare air. My old listening room was my living room which had high ceilings and was relatively open. These speakers had no problem filling the room and house with beautiful music. We have since moved to a 60’s tri-level and while I have the downstairs as my music room, it does not have a high ceiling. This Fall at the RMAS I heard the Focal Sopra 3’s set up in the PS Audio room along with the REL subs. I thought it was one of the best sounding rooms at the show and really showed off all the strengths of the PS Audio electronics. So I bought a pair and now need to sell the Genesis prototypes."
Shipping: Shipping within the Continental USA is approximately $499- This includes securing to a pallet with adequate protection andshipping via FedEx Freight to a residential address anywhere in the Continental USA. This rate can be reduced by $60 if a commercial delivery address available or if item can be picked up at nearest FedEx Freight depot.
