I'm selling a pair of classic IMF Electronics Studio Monitors. These are the rare Transmission Line Speakers that IMF built in the 80's. I've been meaning to rebuild them as the the tweeter needs to be replaced and probably the midrange but I never got around to doing it. My father bought them over 20 years ago and they've faithfully reproduced music til now. I've just run out of space and they need a proper home.
Local pick up only

Questions for the seller |
---|
What city are you in? Have you found a source for replacement drivers? I'm in Chicago. No I haven't sourced replacement drivers yet. I put way too much on my plate. |
Cool. I'm in Chicago as well so pick up will not be hard. Will I need to replace the tweeters and mids right away? In other words, Is it obvious they are bad or was it just something you wanted to do and they work fine. Are you interested in a trade? I own an electronics business and have TVs, etc... They midrange and bass drivers work fine. The bass still plays deep and smooth/ The tweeters probably are the first things that need replacing. You're welcome to come and I'll plug them in so you can audition them.
I'm looking to trade for a DAC, preferably a ps audio digital link III.
