This is system number 56 out of a believed production run of 58. It is also believed that about 10 of the systems have been lost to damage or being parted out. That makes this one of if not the last system produced by Infinity. This system is all numbers matching which is very rare. The amps are V-56, the servo crossover is V-56, an the mid/high panels all correspond to the same production number. Only the last few systems made were veneered to the drivers. Most of the systems produced had black around the drivers.
This system has been gone over by the original engineers or under the guidance of the original engineers including new capacitors in the amps, drivers that were not up to specifications were replaced with the last remaining original parts from Harmon Kardon's Infinity division. The original EMIM's in these had magnets that peeled. These EMIM's have been rebuilt with new magnets that have been specially coated not to peel. The original designer has said these EMIM's sound better than the originals. The crossovers have been rebuilt with input from the original designer of the Infinity Systems IRS V systems.
As you can see in the pictures, this system has been meticulously maintained and cared for without regard to the expense to care for them. The system looks as good as it did the day it came from the original dealer. I have been told that these sound better than many high end systems that sell for $200,000 to $300,000 and up. They are so accurate and engaging that a discerning ear can tell the difference between a Baldwin, Yamaha, or Steinway piano. They can fill your room with music like no other system that I have ever heard. In my opinion and the opinion of many others, these are the ultimate line source speaker system.
In case you are wondering why I am even willing to part with these is because these are my third system. It is time to let my second home go and so these will go to a new home as well.
The buyer is responsible to have these picked up and to arrange all costs and logistics to have them delivered to them where ever the system may be going.
They have been graded an 8 due to age. These are being sold as is due to the potential risk of damage in transportation. I would highly recommend an insured transportation service.
Thank you for your interest and I am sure this system will be enjoyed by the new owner as much as they have been for the last 20+ years.
