Inspire Prototype Open Baffle Speakers "One of a kind hand made speakers designed by Dennis Had"

Up for sale is a pair of Inspire speakers designed by Dennis Had to mate with his Inspire line of tube gear. We built these speakers with Dennis as an exploration into starting a speaker business, but other commitments have prevented us from pulling the trigger. So we are going to liquidate the nicest of the finished prototypes. Drivers are a single Morel tweeter with twin Peerless woofers in a MTM open baffle design. Efficiency is approximately 93-94 db/w/m, suitable for use with Dennis' single ended amp designs. The crossover was designed by Dennis specifically for this speaker, and tweaked in Dennis' shop by him and Michael Mardis, a well known audio engineer. The veneer is hand finished Ziracote, a veneer often used for musical instruments. A frequency response graph demonstrates the linearity of their response. The other tracing is an Altec 604-8G in a similar open baffle design, showing a very favorable comparison. The base "hump" at 70 HZ in both tracings was thought to be a room acoustic issue.

I am rating these speakers at about a 9-9.5/10 because there a re a couple of small dents/nicks along the top edges due to being moved for various demos. Otherwise they are perfect. Shipping will be a flat $120 to anywhere in the CONUS. Paypal accepted, along with cashiers or bank check.
