KEF Reference 5 DEMO walnut

KEF's Reference 5 floorstanding loudspeaker -
We have a *perfect* condition, 13-month-old pair of Kef's largest non-blade reference speaker for sale. They'd easily qualify for 10/10 on visual and sonic fronts - but we've had them long enough that it's 9/10 time, folks! We've priced them accordingly, and in any event, we're sure they'll make someone very, very happy.

Like all of our gear, we handle each speaker carefully and make sure to match them well and not overdrive them. This pair will come with it's warranty and all the usual fixings, including original boxes in fine condition. We have all of the associated stuffs, in short.

A note - you'll be needing a fairly hefty amp and a not-small room in the case of these beauties, as like their close relatives the Blade, they just get better as you throw more power at them. A beefy 150 watts or more of SS or 100 watts of Valve is good shorthand for what has worked well here as a starting point - and it's particularly noteworthy that they come with two kinds of port throats that are interchangeable for different slopes, aiding in setup for differing rooms.

Why we are selling these lovely things?

Ember has come to it's natural end, as both partners have other, really lovely opportunities to pursue - and so all of our demo gear will get sold off eventually. We're happy to float any offer that's fair, but we aren't trying to cut our own throats in the process and are debt-free so it's all just eventual good news for us and the people we do business with. With that in mind, we're easy going and will work to make sure you are barking up the right hallway, as it's not all about making money. Our shop was service and education focused - and we aren't planning on stopping now. Reputation and honor matter a lot, and we'd like to make a few more folks happy before we exit.

Shipping?
Yes, they'll have to be shipped of course - unless you live close enough that we can deliver (100 miles from Winston-Salem, NC, give or take) or want to pick them up. Buyer pays shipping in this case, although we'll be happy to handle logistics if that's helpful and have a lot of experience solving weird shipping issues.
