This is a fantastic pair of Krell LAT-1000 "Lossless Acoustic Transducers" in the black finish and they are awesome!! A very serious speaker for a very serious system. We also have the Krell Evolution One monaural amps and the Evolution Two monaural preamps in other ads. This is a killer system! I believe this is Mr. D'Agostino's best work at Krell.
The LAT-1000 has three 8" woofers, two 5.25" mid drivers, and a 1" ring radiator tweeter, stand nearly five feet tall and weigh 250 pounds each. The three woofers punch you right in the gut, the midrange is silky smooth, and the highs are open and airy creating a wide and deep sound stage that seems effortless.
These speakers originally sold for $55,000 new and are a bargain for $20,000 used. Or you can jump in feet first and buy the entire set of amps, preamps and speakers for just north of $60,000 and your search would be over.
We are hoping for a local Phoenix area sale here due to the size and weight, but we will work with anyone to figure out shipping if required. We do have the original crates so shipping won't really be an issue.
