PRICE REDUCED! Harry Pearson's Personal Speakers! $78,000 retail (including Xover). Truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
These are THE actual Reference Model 21's, Nearfield Acoustic Pipedreams with 2 DeathCharge Subwoofers, built for Harry Pearson and reviewed in "THE ABSOLUTE SOUND as a "Super Component." Rear gold-plated designation stating the same (see photos). Phenomenal speakers that I've enjoyed immensely! Having owned Wilson Max, B&W 801, Dunlavy VI, etc., I've never heard musical reproduction that compares to these beautiful speakers. I've used bi-amplification as well as tri-amplification since acquiring a custom built Great Rivers 2/3 way Crossover. It's the best crossover I've found and bettered both Pass Labs and Bryston crossovers. The crossover alone was $3000 and purchased approximately 15 months ago.
Standing almost 8 feet tall, the soundstage is phenomenal. Midrange and tweeters can be driven with even the lowest watt, high quality amps. I've been driving with Lamm ML 1.1's monoblocks while driving the 2 DeathCharge Subs with either Bryston 7BST's or Levinson #436 monos.
Cabinets on both towers and subs are very close to perfect!. The tower bases which are Automotive Black have marks. At my asking price, I'll have a local hi-end custom auto paint shop re-paint the bases if important to you. Otherwise, I'll provide a $500 credit. These units are heavy and require the buyer to arrange transportation. Sorry, but if you do not have Audiogon feedback, please respect my time and do not make an offer as I will only sell to Agon members with feedback.
This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Only selling due to downsizing. If you have the space for these beauties and you are seeking the best musical reproduction money can buy...look no further!
