We're offering a beautiful set of speakers by Pearl Audio Technology called Platea.  These are a 3-way, ported design The ports are actually vented around the drivers and adjustments to the porting are made at the back of the speakers by twisting a control knob for either the bass drivers or the mids/highs assembly. 

 The speakers are finished with a light cherry front (along the bottom) while the area around the speaker drivers and the top of the cabinet is covered in leather.  The sides which curve around the back is in a high gloss finish.  The bases are layered black acrylic and have captured ball bearings in them which server to act as isolation devices in place of spikes and also allow for easy positioning.

The speakers had never been used until I connected them in this system to check them for functionality for this ad.  They play great.  Before this, they had been opened and one speaker was set out on a static display for CES years ago.  The speakers had been boxed up and sat in storage after that as the manufacturer didn't manage to open up US distribution.  Again, the speakers play fine.  They are actually pretty nice.  We have the original owner's manual (in Italian) and shipping boxes>
