DeVore Fidelity Gibbon Super 8 Premium Finish

Note: I originally posted this a few months ago.  I just logged in to Audiogon and saw a couple of inquiries and offers that didn't come through as email notifications so I didn't know there were there.  Sincere apologies to anyone who contacted me and didn't get a reply.   

Up for sale is a pair of Devore Fidelity Gibbon Super 8 speakers.

The finish is walnut on the sides and back, and bird's eye maple on the front.  Devore is known for their impeccable construction and finish. They look stunning. 

These speakers have high sensitivity & can be driven easily with tube or solid state amplification. They paired exceedingly well with my 25w Leben CS600 integrated tube amplifier. 

They are from a smoke free/pet free home. I am the second owner.  I purchased them here on Audiogon in Dec 2011 from a local Seattle owner who was using it in a 2nd system.  Due to work and travel, I would say these have had maybe 100 hours of use since I bought them.  Due to having younger kids, I almost exclusively listen with headphones after they go to bed.  I'm downsizing to bookshelf speakers due to house remodel.    

I have the manual, the metal cones for the speaker bases, and the original boxes with packing---everything that came with the speakers.  I don't have the outside shipping boxes.  I'd much prefer local pickup, but will pack appropriately if shipping them.

I'm rating 6/10 for the following reasons:

 - Bad news first: My daughter pushed in the tweeter cones on both speakers when she was 3 years old. This was in 2013. I spoke with Matt Rotunda at Pitch Perfect Audio in SF and he suggested popping them back out with shipping tape.  The trick worked.  The don't look 100% perfect though.  I honestly can't tell any difference in sound, but I realize that is purely subjective and others may disagree (We're Audiophiles after all).  I get it.  It matters and I want to be completely upfront about this.

 - There are 2 very minor nicks on the speakers.  See photos.  You have to look close to notice them. 

 - I'm the 2nd owner. 

The Audiogon Blue Book average selling price is $ 2680 and they were $4000 new.  I think the price is fair and compensates for the above considerations. 

I would prefer to sell within the Greater Seattle area.
