Shahinian Acoustics Hawk Ensemble --speakers for the music lover

Rare opportunity to own one of the truly magnificent speaker systems designed and built by audio legend, Richard Shahinian. Owner reluctantly selling due to downsizing. This complete Hawk system includes two subwoofers and two satellite mid/tweeter modules in beautifully oiled, laminated walnut cabinets. Each subwoofer (weighing 60 lbs) is a hybrid transmission-line design with 8” curved polypropylene cone woofer with rear firing 10” passive radiator bass chamber, frequency response 25-250 Hz Each of the mid/high frequency modules weighs 20 lbs and has four (4) 4 ½” curved poly cone low/midrange drivers with 1” voice coils, and four (4) 1” titanium-neodymium tweeters. Modules are usually seated on top of subwoofer cabinets, but can be separated to optimize soundstage imaging. Passive crossover can be by-passed for bi-amplification. Omnidirectional modules and subs deliver effortless and realistic reproduction of concert stage recordings at any volume.
