Silverline Audio Sonata MKII Awesome Floorstanding Speakers gen 2

Silverline Sonata MKII floor standing speakers in rosewood. Original Owner, original triple boxes and packing, smoke-free home. No scratches, like new with the exception of one chip as pictured on rear edge (seems common on the speakers and easily repaired). For reference on pricing, another add mentioned bluebook of $2870.

A high sensitivity speaker @ 95dB sensitivity. Great for tubes and solid state and absolutely amazing for vocals and brass (and frankly most content - Alan Yun, Silverline's president, had them playing a series of drum tracks when I first heard them with some tube amps he was building. The bass was amazingly controlled). These are beautiful floor standers that do so many things right, I only am selling as a result of an upcoming move. 

From a soundstage! review by John Potis - "Smooth, effortless and utterly engaging midrange" coupled with tight, highly damped bass; "transparent yet friendly personality " -- "no part of the frequency spectrum is emphasized at the expense of the rest."

Silverline specifies a sensitivity of 95dB, an increase of 2dB over the older model, and the same easy-to-drive, tube-friendly 8-ohm nominal impedance. The crossover frequencies are 600Hz, 1200Hz, 2000Hz and 3500Hz, and the frequency response is given as 25Hz to 28kHz with no tolerance stated. Speaker connections were made via very sturdy dual sets of gold-plated five-way binding posts, which are recessed into the bottom rear of the cabinet. Silverline recommends a minimum of 10 watts to drive the speakers and a maximum of 1000 watts.

Price adjusted for grill cloth tear pictured (I didn't use the overs and it split in the garage heat). The grill frames are like new and I have replacement cloth from the original manufacturer.
