Tonian Labs TL-D1 Speaker

For your consideration I have these Tonian Labs TL-D1 speakers for sale. They are in excellent shape and have given me years of pleasure. As you can see from the photos they are as advertised. Those who know these speakers need no further introduction. For those who don't, I suggest you go and google the reviews at the makers site and those from a reviewer who still has these as their personal speaker. It's a semi-open baffle design with different sized slats on the back so you can tailor the speakers sound to your liking. They are tone masters for acoustic, jazz ensembles, vocalists and even orchestral. They're not the last word for loud rock 'n roll but are very convincing doing it. 
For me, they convey the "in the recording booth" sound compared to the recorded sound. They excel at revealing the layers of a recording, the ambience of the space. I've only had solid state paired with them and from what I've read, they love tubes.
It's taken awhile for me to list these since I've changed out the furniture I had when I bought them. They sound much, much better now than then. So much so that I'm a bit conflicted selling them. If I knew they had this strong a mid range and bass (which I wrongly thought was their weak point), I wouldn't have gotten my present speakers. But I've invested some in them, their custom stands, and new cabling so I have to move on.
This is a local sale only. I don't have the original boxes. I will not ship these, so don't bother asking. I will not reply to any offers for shipping. These speakers deserve an appreciative home. Since this is a local sale, you can hear them for yourself and know what you're getting: a real bargain. Please, no low ballers.
