If you are looking at this posting you probably know about these speakers. If not, then see below links to learn more. They were professionally finished in the correct automotive "Piano" Black high gloss paint and the proper 10 year lithium batteries were updated 2015. The speaker's covers were also factory recovered. The speaker covers may appear gray in some photos but they are dark black with a soft, smooth and stretchy OEM material that were redone by the factory in 2015. The covers have only been on the speakers once for the attached photos. The speakers are HEAVY (about 200 lbs each and shipping them in the correct factory box makes them 250 lbs each). They each include a 400 watt amplifier powering a massive internal subwoofer. Obviously, local pick up would be best. We can cooperate with packing and shipping and that would be an additional charge. The factory confirmed that they will sell and ship us two empty packing boxes (for about $500 a pair!) which is extra and not part of this sale price. We have powered them both up. Additionally, we can supply the correct M5-HP crossovers that have new 10 year lithium batteries installed for an additional $750 if you do not have a pair (but they are not included in this $6250 sale price). Finally, Richard Vandersteen confirmed on his blog that high end AVR processors (like Denon 4308CI) that have the correct cross-over adjustability can optimize these reference items without exterior crossovers (as an example see picture of page 29 of 4308CI user manual). We will consider cash or local bank check and prefer local pickup and would assist your shipping carrier after the sale is completed. The speakers were moved into the livingroom after the pictures were taken. The vintage Turbo is not part of the deal....LOL!

| I am interested in these speakers. Are you the original owner? Has there been any updates to the speakers since new? Are the speakers and drivers all performing properly? Finally, would you have any idea what shipping to 89011 may cost? We did update the internal batteries, exterior paint and shipped the original covers to their California factory and they recovered them with the same OEM material however, we are not the original owners. Shipping is simple. However, we do not have the factory boxes and they can be purchased from the factory (see a discussion of same in our listing) which they use for shipping. They suggest using their factory approved shippers. Nevada is close to us in So Calif so shipping could be arranged if you confirm you wish to own these items. |
| Thanks for your reply. I'm waiting to hear back from Richard Vandersteen if I would be able to update these speakers to the 5A Carbon and what it would cost me. Btw, I've spoken with Randy at Optimal Enchantment and he seems to feel that your asking price is high and claimed the median price for a clean, used pair of the model 5 is about $3500-$4000 in the glossy black. Considering this and the new batteries and crossovers, and that you do not have the shipping cartons, what's the best you would do including the cartons? Thanks for your continuing interest. Richard Vandersteen is a true engineering marvel and his products are all “top tier”. Everyone has an opinion and beauty is in the eyes (or ears) of the beholder.
