For sale: Verity Parsifal Ovation Monitors in Hi-gloss piano black finish with** custom pedestal speaker stands.
I am the original owner who purchased them from an authorized Verity dealer. They are well cared for and used in a pet free, non-smoking household. The speakers are in excellent shape with no noticeable scratches, blemishes or marks. If you read my agon feedback, you will see that I am conservative in my ratings. The front grilles, aluminum isolation pads and all factory accessories are included. The Parsifal’s will ship in the manufacturers ATA cases.
Instead of reiterating all the praiseworthy reviews of the Parsifals, I’ll instead concentrate on 3 of the unique benefits conferred by the pedestal stand. First and foremost, the solid maple stands extend the low frequency output of the woofer. The reinforcement effect of the front baffle of the solid stand seems to add an additional ½ octave of smooth bass response. For those of you with long audio memories, the original Wilson WATT was similar marketed with a pedestal base nicknamed the “beard”.
Second, using the stands also had the unexpected benefit of expanding the Parsifal’s already formidable soundstage. Even when placed on inexpensive metal stands, the soundstage was excellent but when mechanically decoupled to the pedestal stand it went to stupendous!
Third, the custom pedestals were exactingly crafted to match the monitors base dimensions and look like a physical extension of the monitor cabinet. Several Verity aficionados commented that the monitor/stand combo look almost identical to the Verity Fidelio loudspeaker.
The pedestal stand was crafted to my specifications by Resonant Woods and is finished in satin black. Each stand is 26” height and weighs a substantial 57 lbs. The top of each stand has flush mounted counter sunk coupling discs which enable you to couple the monitor to the stand via the supplied audiopoint spikes. If you prefer you can bypass the audiopoints and use the included Verity sorbothane pads. The bottom of each stand has (5) ¼-20 threaded inserts. I will include (8) Star Sound Technologies 1.5” wide body audiopoints.
**My cost on the custom blackbeard stand and audiopoints cones/spikes was $1500.
This is a unique opportunity to obtain a speaker system which combines all the legendary qualities of a reference monitor along with an extended bass response in a compact and attractive speaker system. Should you ever desire to extend the bass and dynamic response of the monitor you can add the woofer module in the future.
At this price it is a wonderful opportunity to own a truly wonderful speaker that will easily integrate into practically any system and meaningfully improve your listening experience.
