This pair was gently played, 20-30% of capable output, never played loud.
While there is not a lot of prior price data or prior sales to reference on the VR35 (they are keepers!) their close cousin the Von Schweikert VR33 (without upgraded corossovers, caps, resistors, and bi-wired posts) sell for $2,800 to $3,400. Bear in mind this model is nearly twice the price as its sister model when new, about a $3,000 difference. So do the math, and you will see this one is a huge bargain. This price is a no BS, no hassle price.
7/10 only for top cap finish. Pictures show some wear, light and moderate scratches (clear, not color) in Black Laquer Finish on top cap of right channel. If your finicky, you could likely contact VS Audio and replace caps inexpensively. It was not visible enough for me under my lighting, so I never addressed.
Buyer pays for packaging, as original packaging has been discarded. Could likely order original packaging from VS Audio, as this is a current production speaker.
If you have heard of Von Schweikert Audio, you are likely already aware of their reputation for value. Every speaker they build is often compared to speakers in sound quality that are 2 to 3 times their price. Value is their hallmark.
These speakers were designed to work like much larger speakers, but in a much smaller footprint. They can be placed close to the wall, and their bass reflective technology, combined with study bracing, and cabinet technology so that they perform excellent, but take up room of a much smaller speaker. Two 10 inch bass drivers, a 4 inch mid driver, and of course a 2 inch treble driver, all in a compact design that stands no farther than 18 inches into the room. Truly amazing!
As a testimony to there heft and build quality, they wheigh in at 115 pounds each. All that in a speaker that stands 50 inches tall with a base that measures a thrifty 16" x 12". 25 Hz to 30 KHz frequency response, with impedance of 8 ohms. Sensitivity is 90bd, which means this will run on as little as 60 watts.
When new these speakers retailed for at $10,000 when they were bought, and recently have been selling retailer direct for near $7,000. They have been compared in sound quality to speaker costing $15-20k.
These are priced for quick sale at $3,950.00. First person with cash in hand owns a great speaker! Cheers, Ben

Shipping dimensions and shipping cost should allow for packaging, and be multiplied times two. Dimensions in listing are one speaker, but you will likely want to ship both. Buyer provides packaging if shipping is desired. Buyer pays credit card or PayPal fees, as it is for his/her convenience. Items will ship only after payment clears.
Any accepted offers assume that buyer pays actual cost of packaging, shipping, insurance, and PayPal fees. Your offer is 'net to seller" with exception of my cost for the listing.
