For sale is a pair of Zu Audio Essence speakers. Purchased directly from Zu Audio in August 2011. I've included the descriptive text that was provided to me by Zu Audio at the bottom of this ad.

The top of one speaker has a ding measuring approximately 3/16ths of an inch. In the photo, every effort was made to exaggerate the ding on top of the speaker. You'll look at it once, set the speakers up, and never think about it again.

I'm flexible on shipping.

Here's the Zu Audio description:

You are bidding on a new pair of Zu Essence loudspeakers finished in real maple that has been aniline dyed black with premium UV protecting Beckers satin conversion varnish topcoat.

This is it for b-stock from the latest production run of ghost black maple. They are perfectly matched and only b-stock due to slight finish blemishes. Photo #6 shows the only big problem, there is a small ding in the top of one of the cabinets, clearly shown in the photo. This pair have 400 hours of factory burn-in, double the standard. The sound and measure fantastic, we never send out iffy performance. Photos #1, 2 and 3 were shot with sunlight spilling in through the windows. In your living room, they will appear darker than the photos. In your den you will hardly see the maple grain, they will look nearly black.

COSMETIC BLEMISHED HIGHLIGHTED

Okay, Christian our production manager has these marked as B1 (Factory first save for some subtle blemish) and after looking them over I am not sure why they are marked B-stock, they look great, all accept the mentioned ding on the top of one. Christian tells me they are not "butter smooth, like the maple and conversion varnish topcoat should be, like we are layin down now." Still, these are at least as good looking as what we were shipping out as A-stock just a few months ago. No closeups of blems cause you cant really see any.
