Garrard 301 51400/2 Turntable with plinth

You are looking at an extremly beautiful example of a classic Garrard 301 Oil Bearing Turntable, serial number 73992. Runs absolutely smooth, stable and noiseless. The whole unit is in a clean and excellent condition. The turntable runs quiet and speed stability is top on. The rubbermat is original and without cuts. This is a 110v or 220V model, so it can be used in many countries throughout the world, but if you are on a 60hz frequency, you would need to change the pulley. This can be purchased on ebay for a few pounds. There are no dings or scratches on the surface, it is totally smooth.

The whole surface looks mint, but I cannot certainly exclude that the top of the TT was new lacquered. If it was, then the job was done professional and perfect. Rivets don´t show signs of replacing, the top color is the same as it is underneath, I can´t see any difference in tone, and on the bottom the paint is original for you see the marks from the sticker. All the red painted screws are in their places. No marks from cleaning systems on the top of TT, this one was gladly fixed to the plinth.

The plinth is made from wood, is a lightweight hollow one and has a cover.
Crafted very good, laquer job is well done but not perfect like an industrial item. Still good for your livingroom. The motorboard is bend in the middle, but it´s not a big deal to cut a new one from plywood. The suspension springs are too weak for the heavy Garrard, you should replace them with stronger ones or do it the Loricraft-Way and use balls. Dimensions of the plinth without the cover: 47x44x11cm. Anyway, I have to send the plinth in an individual parcel, so be aware that shipping costs are a bit more, depending on your destination.
