Up for sale is one of the best kept secret in audio, the highly raved Hafler 9505 Transnova amplifier, it is the best high power amplifier from Hafler ( much better than XL600 or the earlier 9500). The 9505 pushes 250W at 8 ohms, 375W at 4 ohms and is made in USA!
It is one of the amplifiers that inherit the solid reputation of Hafler which is known for product that has a very high performance/cost ratio and their older XL280, XL600 or even the 9500 Transnova which still fetch a good $450-$600 in used market. The design goals of Hafler product are solid engineering and great reliability, and the 9505 is no exception.
The 9505 sounds exceptionally musical with wide range of speaker and pre amp, it runs a lot warmer than the other power amp which suggest it is heavy biased but not in a Class A operation. The effective and sexy heatsink has no problem cooling the amp and I never had any single issue with it. It also features balanced XLR/RCA i
input for greater flexibility.
With the 250W from 9505, you can assure it will drive a wide range of speaker with aplomb and give you the total control of the woofer.
In short, you are getting an amp that is built to last, sound great (Google the Stereophile review years ago) with highest built quality from the good old USA factory. What else you can ask for?

Questions for the seller |
---|
Are you the original owner? Do you have the shipping container? Is there any noise or hum coming from either channel or turn-on/off thumps? I am the 2nd owner, I do have a very sturdy box for shipping and much better than the original box . No noise or hum at all, the amp is dead quiet and works flawlessly. |
