Pair of well cared for Infinity Kappa 5.1 Series II - WITH STAINLESS STANDS that would cost $125. if purchased new themselves! SPeakers are built for 150 WATT/CH handling and image & soundstage are that of MUCH LARGER speakers! 7/10 RATING CONSERVATIVE! NOTE: UPS GROUND SHIPPING LIKELY @$100
The stands have removable stainless steel spikes and are in 8+/10 condition and are steel constuction with black powder coating on the frames. They are indestuctable and can be used with much heavier speakers.
Back to the Kappa 5.1s! - the pair have professionally reconed 8" original Kappa 5.1 Series II woofers drivers, and NEW Kappa Series II mids, and perfect EMIT R original tweeters. DESPITE THAT THEY ARE GREAT FRONT STEREO SPEAKER W/ imaging & full soundstage - THEY WOULD MAKE INCREDIBLE ADDITION TO A SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM AS SIDE OR BACK SPEAKERS!!!!!!

Purchased in an Estate sale several months ago from an elderly professional Jazz musician who had impeccable taste in his other equipment(all of which I bought - see the HK Signature 1.5 amp (& Nakamichi Signature Cassette player)(both Jan 2012 comments) feedback in a day or so, I just sold from his system- just recvd by buyer who is ravingly happy). Speakers NEVER remotely overdriven.
These Kappa's were NEVER abused and will handle (clean) 150 watt's/channel - it's all over the manual!
Also, I will include 2 original Infinity Kappa 5.1 woofers needing simple re-coning, and 2 original mids requiring same - so, if somehow you do burn up any of the installed drivers up while reveling in their excellent sound you have extra drivers with perfect coils to replace if you create in inadvertant problem....nice for peace of mind!
I ussed these in my bedroom as a secondary sound system in addition to main sound room with massive Kappa 8 Series IIs.
Again, have been cared for for life between prior elder Jazz professional and myself. These speakers perform WAY above their price level - especially ON THE STANDS!! They deliver great articulation, full bass, they are loud, and they have great soundtage(on stands!) and imaging. I really can't say enough about these 3 way classy tigers that way only 40lbs a piece!
Speakers true dimensions are 80LBS combined & 22"X11"X 13" "deep" NOTE: Indicated dimensions in Audiogon column allow for 4" on EACH side of speaker combined in a single heavy shipping box. I suggest shipping the speakers in a separate box and the stands in separate box(dimensions = @ 50LBS 22"X13"X12" deep). COMBINED IN ONE BOX I ESTIMATE 85lbs with DIMENSIONS (CRITICAL TO SHIPPING COST) I estimate at 24-28inches high(depending on packacjing desired-UPS demands 4" extra on each side to honor insurance!!! X 46" "wide"(with 4" "rule" used) X 46" deep (again, using 4" rule)
Am selling ONLY because I am upgrading my main system to all Transparent Audi Reference MM@ cables at ENORMOUS expense......but is well worth it to me......!
