EDIT: I am open to serious offers, so feel free to contact me if interested. Asking price has been reduced.

For Sale (OBO) is a very good condition pair of Infinity Prelude Composition P-FR full range speakers, with powered 12" subwoofers. These are the original Infinity Preludes that have a very respectable 96db sensitivity rating, unlike the newer Preludes, which had a much lower sensitivity rating. Because of their high sensitivity rating these can easily be driven by a tube amplifier, if needed. These speakers were initially reviewed in the September 1995 issue of Stereophile magazine, and given an 'A-' rating, which considering how stingy Stereophile could be with their ratings, was quite good.

I have owned these since new, and currently have them stored in their original boxes and packing. They include the original owner's manual, matching grills (these have almost never been used and are in mint condition), full set of adjustable height feet, and set of feet covers.

During their last period of use they were run off of a Sound Application 'Reference Line Stage' power conditioner, and their performance in 2-channel stereo mode was nothing short of outstanding.

Each speaker has an Auto Sense - On/Off switch, 3-position bass control switch, a 3-position Ground switch, a 2-position on/Off switch, an easily replaceable fuse, and an On/Off indicator light. Each speaker also contains a side-firing 12" subwoofer, with a built-in 150 watt amplifier. Because the subwoofers are also 96 db sensitive their output is far greater than 150 watts would lead you to presume, in comparison to typical speakers that only have a sensitivity rating of approximately 90 db or less.

FYI: Approximately 2 years ago I replaced all midrange/mid-bass speakers (12 speakers in all, at great expense) with new, original Infinity replacement speakers. The speakers currently sound every bit as glorious as they did when brand new.

I rated these as 9 out of 10 in physical appearance as they only have minor smudge/wear marks on the speaker cabinets (the grey colored metal/plastic speaker bodies), probably from when they have been occasionally stored in their boxes. The front speaker panels are in mint condition, as stated earlier, since I have almost never used them. The lower subwoofer cabinet speaker grills are all in very good condition, with no tears, rips, discoloring, etc., and all plastic connectors are in great shape.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns about them, or for more pictures.

More information on them, such as the owner's manual, can be found through Infinity's customer support page, at the following link: http://www.infinitysystems.com/home/product_support/default.aspx?Language=ENG&Region=USA&Country=US

I would prefer not to ship these, as they are quite large, and rather heavy, but could upon request, though I would probably ask that the buyer arrange their own shipping means.
