Audioquest Yukon (River Series) analog interconnect cable pair, XLR, 2 meters long. These two high quality analog cables and other audio components (advertised and sold separately) are being offered for sale due to a death in the family. This pair of cables is in very good condition and was purchased new in 2014 by a non-smoking retired music teacher/musician. These cables pair were used to connect a McIntosh MCD550 SACD/CD player to a McIntosh MA8000 integrated amp. Sridhar Vootla of HiFi Today.com recommended the Yukon cable writing, “...they are excellent cables that will take a high performance system to the next level. While they are not exactly inexpensive, in the right system their value will be measured in the superb sound they will help reproduce...If you are looking at cables in this [price] range I can’t recommend them enough.” Features: solid Perfect-Surface Copper+ (PSC+), a proprietary metal processing technology that produces high-purity low-oxide copper conductor resulting in low audio distortion. The solid conductors also prevent distortion commonly caused by strand interaction. All of Yukon’s conductors are solid and the PSC+ outperforms all previously available copper metals, providing a very clean sound. Polyethylene air-tube insulation provides for low energy loss through absorption and low distortion. The carbon-based 3-layer noise dissipation system (NDS) shields the audio equipment from RF interference. The triple-balanced geometry of the 3 conductors in each cable ensure the positive and negative signals have equally low distortion conducting paths. The plugs are made without solder because solder can be a source of distortion. The ground shells are stamped instead of machined, thus the metal is chosen for low distortion over machinability. There are no original packing materials or manual. Currently located in a climate-controlled storage unit in Sacramento, CA; ready for local pick-up or shipping.
