James Romeyn Audio “Pure Balanced Power” w/deluxe Cardas Rhodium XLR plugs balanced interconnect for premium balanced components.
James Romeyn (primeVibe guitar seasoning accessory, co-inventor Space Generator and Late Ceiling Splash, audio sales and consulting since '84) made these premium balanced IC with silver solder and Cardas XLR plugs w/Rhodium over silver plated contacts. James improved the already renown and stalwart cable recipe by Stan Warren (Superphon principal and the “S” in PS Audio).
“Pure Balanced Power” (and “Pure Unbalanced Power”) IC have made great music for clients for approximately 20 years. This previously owned pair had sum total one owner, is approximately 8 months old, and in perfect cosmetic and mechanical condition. This IC pair was well cared for in a system valued at approximately $55k US.
“Pure Balanced Power” IC received high praise from chief audio engineer Josh Roseman at The Loove Labs LLC in Brooklyn, NY. These IC are low noise, high resolution, extremely neutral and transparent, and with wide range of system compatibility.
Four stand out features of these IC include:
Silver content solder.
James Romeyn's meticulous assembly and solder work including contacts treated with Caig DeOxit Gold.
Multi-strand high purity solid copper conductors, the (improved) recipe of high end audio pioneer Stan Warren, who personally gave James the original recipe
Costly, deluxe, and massive Cardas XLR plugs w/Rhodium over silver plated contacts. Also per Cardas page: “...gold plated outer barrels...unique end shielding technique blocks RF and Clock signals...machined from billet brass, with FEP dielectric insulating contact surfaces plated with silver and a rhodium flash...”
For $225, the SRP of the Cardas connectors alone, enjoy IC performance comparable to commercial cables priced well above $1k US.
