These were purchased on Audiogon from Echo Audio in Oregon, who is a brick & mortar Oregon dealer with a long and solid track record on Agon. The interconnects did not come with original retail box. Nordost had sent these interconnects to Jeff Dorgay of Tone Audio for review. Jeff also does work for Stereophile Magazine and lives in Oregon. He did the review and liked them so much that he kept them in his personal system for an extended period of time. After that, he sold them to Echo Audio (Jeff sells lots of his used equipment to Echo Audio). Feel free to call Echo Audio to verify the authenticity of the cables and the source of these cables.
I have tried many brands of cables and find Nordost to have the best balance between realism, detail, emotion, and neutrality. You don't have to sacrifice sparkle for bass, bass detail for top end, etc. It's all there with these Nordost cables. I have slowly been moving up the Nordost lineup beginning with purple flare, red dawn, Heimdall 2, Frey 2 and now going up to Valhalla. Each move gives you 'MORE' of everything. Frey 2 is 6 levels up from the bottom and only 2 levels down from Valhalla. Some consider the price to performance the best with Frey 2. These are the latest version from Nordost.
