In celebration of John Coltrane's 80th birthdate, Concord Music Group released these three box sets focusing on his Prestige Records output from 1956-1958 as a leader, as a collaborator and as a sideman. Each of these sets contains rare photographs and extensive booklets with essays and detailed discographical information and liner notes. These sets also feature the original session notes and fully reproduced original album artwork. Additionally, these three sets have been remastered from the original analog master tapes. All three sets appear to be out-of-print at this time. ***All of the music on these three sets can be found on the original 16-CD box set, The Prestige Recordings.***

These are being sold as a complete set, not individually.

1) Fearless Leader (6 CDs) - details can be found here: http://www.allmusic.com/album/ fearless-leader-mw0000417636. Discs, booklet and outer box are Like New and have no signs of wear (just like the day I bought it).

2) Interplay (5 CDs) - details can be found here: http://www.allmusic.com/album/interplay-mw0000487762. Discs, booklet and outer box are Like New and have no signs of wear.

3) Side Steps (5 CDs) - details can be found here: http://www.allmusic.com/album/side-steps-mw0000816542. Discs and booklet and mint. There is a thin scratch on the back of the outer box that is barely noticeable. It is below the barcode. It was on there when the set arrived brand new. It is *not* a barcode remainder mark. I have factored this into the price. Otherwise, the set is Like New.

This is excellent (and excellent sounding) music in the history of John Coltrane's development.
