I have a beautiful pair of classic JBL 4430 Studio Monitors. A large format, horn based monitor system that provides big and studio quality sound. This particular pair has the early and desirable 2421A compression driver with aluminum diaphragm and Alnico V magnet. The driver was the one originally designed for this monitor and most, including myself, feel it has a much better sound than the later drivers. The 2235H woofers were recently and professionally re-faomed correctly. They work flawlessly and provide that accurate and authoritative bass JBL's are known for. The walnut cabinets are nearly flawless with just the slightest of imperfections that will not show up on the photos. The grill frames are near perfect as is the original JBL blue grill cloth. This is likely the nicest example of these monitors you will find. The monitors are as close to a 9/10 as I have seen but I'm rating them an 8 due to their age. The sound is truly a 10! I am only selling them to downsize and they are a bit too big for my room. They are for local pick/up only in Redding, CA, I will not risk shipping them. I may be able to help with delivery within a reasonable distance for the right deal. They are very large and shipping weight is 175 lbs. I can provide more pictures to serious buyers. My asking price reflects the condition, collectabilty and beautiful sound of these fine monitors. I will consider reasonable offers but lowballers will be politely ignored. If using Paypal, the buyer will be responsible for the fee. Check my feedback and buy with confidence. Thanks for looking!
