JBL L-166 Horizon Loudspeakers

These are the JBL L-166 Horizon loudspeakers in walnut finish with the black grills ( The black grills are in excellent condition with no damage I can see ) and I am the original owner. For more than 80% of their life they have been stored in a hall closet at room temperature, never in a cellar or an attic. I have used these speakers for the first 5 or 6 years when I first got them with high quality electronics and then as I acquired other speakers with even more to come the JBL's were put away. A few years ago the 12 inch drivers were refoamed while the mid range and dome tweeters were never touched. These mid range and dome tweeters are no longer available and the ones that are on my speakers are like new.
I would have to say the real wood veneer on these cabinets are absolutely amazing for their age. I see two or three very fine scratches that are very hard to see and one very small nick. I can honestly say the condition of the veneer is closer to an 8 than a 6 and doubt very much there's another L-166 is as great a shape as these.
I have the original owner's manual (two of them) and they are in like new condition. I no longer have the boxes so I will not ship these and would prefer a local sale, but I will drive up to 120 miles free or meet you. I live in Northeastern Pa. and my zip code is 18640. Once again, I can't rate them an 8 because of their age, they could be an 8, at least I think they could, but I will rate them a 7 to be safe. All drivers work and sound great. Both speakers were last tested on Tuesday evening, March 6th, 2012 to verify that all drivers were working. As a very small added bonus I will include one colored literature booklet (2 page) that gives the information just on these speakers.
