Price lowered, I'm virtually GIVING THIS PLAYER AWAY! Need to sell due to downsizing, not because I do not like this player. Nothing wrong with player, 100% fully functional. No trades. I've seen unmodded units listed here on Audiogon for $500-$700! I've paid over $1000 for the modifications (around $400 in parts, $600 for labor to various mod houses/modification services).

Excellent imaging, virtually no grain, easy to listen to. Does wonders with female vocals (compared to digital CD players I've tried). Smooth yet still detailed. Solid state like bass.

Modified Jolida JD100 CD player. The output capacitors were modified to VCaps and Multicaps were also added to the output board.

History of this CD player:

1. Bought as a HRAM (Hot Rod Audio Mods) Jolida JD100A Reference Level Plus, and others did later modifications. The Tentlabs clock is disabled due to some possible incompatibilities (http://hotrodaudiomods.com/jolida-jd100/).

2. Power supply board has been modified by another modifier (possibly Mitch Singerman of Affordable Audio, but not sure).

3. Output board's capacitors modificed by another modifier (forgot whom).

In total, CD player was purchased modified, and then sent out for two more rounds of modifications.

I added the Ei tubes myself after trying various tubes.

I don't have the receipts so I don't know the exact amount, but I believe I spent well over $2000 total for this CD player!

Some of the mods include:

added dampening around various parts of the CD player and enclosure
power supply improved with modifications
Tent Labs low jitter clock not enabled due to possible incompatibilities
Four V-cap oil impregnated caps (Over $200 just for these parts - http://www.vhaudio.com/v-cap.html)
MultiCaps on output board
Cardas output terminals (second terminals bypassed), upgraded wiring
Ei yugoslavia tubes (low hours, $40 each tube!)

Have original shipping box, but not original manuals. Will package well, remote and unit fully functional. Missing two screws on the back cover but the cover is still held in place by the other screws. Paypal 3% extra. I have almost $2000 invested in this CD player, but need to sell due to downsizing. Thanks!
