KEF 103.2 Reference Series Loudspeakers in good condition. Modified with Morel cloth dome tweeters and the series input capacitor is jumped out. Have original T33 tweeters - 1 is burned out. Cabinets have a few scratches, grills are in good condition. Original box, manuals and liturature.
Ron Gold of Gold Sound in Engelwood, CO recommended the Morel model 30 tweeter. It is a better tweeter in every respect improving imaging, detail, depth and power handling. The sound is very slightly brighter also which I liked as I thought the speaker too "polite" after owning them for awhile. The Morel 30 tweeter is simply a much better tweeter in every respect, examining the KEF T33 and Morel 30 side by side reveals much, the T33 probably costing 1\3 what the Morel costs. BTW, Madisound still sells the Morel 30 and 32 tweeters. The input cap caused all manor of grief with the Carver M1.5T amp I originally drove them with, so I jumped it out. Several years later I read on an "audiophile" website somewhere that what I did was the hot mod for this speaker, improving imaging, depth and clarity. I am the original owner and the B139 woofers are original and untouched. I am selling them because I have not used them in several years and am clearing out\downsizing my "stuff". I used these speakers many more years than any other, they are that good. I currently listen to Revel F12 floorstanding speakers which except for the deep bass are not all that much better but I wanted an "all in one box" speaker and stereo bass instead of the powered subwoofer I used with the KEF's.
