KLH 900B 1990's 3-WAY SPEAKERS

Although these are not "high end" speakers, during their manufacture they received many positive reviews in the 4.0 to 4.53 range from respected audio sites. They also were considered at best mediocre by some other sites. I am listing these on Audiogon because I have done significant modifications and believe that these would make excellent small room speakers as mains or surround speakers, and would, at their selling price, be well worth purchasing. Modifications: Internal cabinet bracing, filled with Corning 50% recycled insulation, foam surrounds added to all speakers and crossover plate, small copper coil on crossover board moved from parallel to large copper coil to perpendicular position to negate crosstalk. External: 3 applications of non-wax Shellac and two applications of high gloss polyurethane to finish. After 2 weeks finish can be further protected with application of a high quality car wax. All mods resulting in significant sound reproduction and exterior finish and durability.
