Pro-Ject Xtension 10cc Evolution - Gorgeous Mahogany

This Xtension 10 Evolution strikes the perfect balance between a stunning performer and the eclectic edge of insanity in turntable performance.  With performance details and quality nearing the very best of whats out there without the insane price tag. 

The Xtension 10 incorporates 20 years passion and experience in turntable design. The chassis is made from MDF filled with metal sand, that gives it high mass and remains non-resonant. Magnetic feet, which decouple the main plinth from its base, are combined with a weighty 22kg total turntable mass. The result is a unique combination of 'mass loaded' and 'floating turntable' design principles.

Instead of the old standard adoption of pure metal used for the main platter, Pro-Ject used a perfect alloy which is then damped on the inner side with Sorbothane®. Additionally the top mat is created using recycled Vinyl records after which its precision balanced. The final product subsequently benefits from a wonderfully resonance-free, heavy platter, that runs ultrasilently on an inverted ceramic ball bearing with magnetic suspension.

The Pro-Ject 10cc Evolution with its tonearm base also benefits from 'high-mass' technologies, and is isolated from the main board by a sheet of Sorbothane®. To use this tonearm with a wide range of top quality phono cartridges, from 4 to 14g. it comes with a set of 4 different Sorbothane®- damped counterweights. 

To round it off, the table is built of an absolutely gorgeous Mahogany with a high gloss lacquer finish.  

This unit is on display in our, 'By-appointment only' showroom and is in pristine condition.  The white specs you see on the pictures are only dust.  There are no scratches or dings other than what a microfiber cloth leaves after dusting.  

All original components are included as is a full manufacturers warranty.
