As said earlier, I purchased two Emblas mainly for back-up of the mechanical CD Player / Ripper.
The Bladelius system I am keeping now has the $ 1,199 Bluesoud Vault-2 which has a 2 Tb NAS.
This Solution replaces the ripping function of the Baldelius and adds Bluetooth and Wi-FI streaming access to Tidal, Spotify and downloading direct from HDTracks via the Bluesound iPAD app.... NO NEED TO USE A COMPUTER ANY MORE !!
The Bluesound Bit Perfect ripping function is also significantly better at finding the album Meta Data / Artwork.
Another advantage of putting the Bladelius library on the Bluesound Vault is that the library is now accessible from the entire Bluesound network .... up to 32 rooms / Zones !!
I can include a Bluesound Vault with a nice music library installed in it for an additional $ 1,000...
The key benefits of the Bladelius Embla are its huge range of analog and Digital inputs and state of the art pre-amp and DAC with non-pre-ringing filter.
I trawled the corridors of the 2016 CES and could not find a more complete Solution !!

The digital Bladelius player was the most ‘analog’ sounding player I’ve hosted of late....
Mike Bladelius gives his products a certain character, which, I think, reflects his biases.
He is about reproducing the ‘human’ side of the music,about depriving the mid-range—which we are genetically most sensitive to—of any trace of a digital signature or anything else that could be attributed to mechanical playback. The fight for the best mid-range and building the whole sound around it is of course not new or exclusive to Bladelius. Harbeth and Spendor pursued the same much earlier....
The pre-amplifier was really something and one merely needs a quality power amplifier to create a very satisfying sound. .... Embla is a well-conceived and executed concept ....

Many inquirers have had difficulty realizing that the Embla is not merely a Music Server but is in effect a combined CD Player / ripper / DAC / Analog HUB with Pre-amp / Digital HUB / Music Server all in one NEAT package. | Just checking is able to steam tidal etc.. Is this US voltage and you will consider posting to UK? If not I have a us address I can get this posted too Hi Ming,
The unit is NOT voltage switchable...BUT...you can use an in-expensive step down tranformer for this.
Regarding Streaming from Tidal etc, I have now added a Bluesound Vault-2 to the ssytem I am keeping which gets me streaming including Tidal ... I feed the output of the Vault via SPDIF to the Bladelius which has a state of the art de-jittering circuit.
I would prefer to ship to a US address and can included a Brand new $1,199 Bluesound Vault-2 in the deal for $ 1,000 including shipping.... see the 4 NEW PHOTOS UPLOADED TODAY..
Please get back to me ASAP as the addition of the Vault will certainly increase the desirability of this truly state of the art system !! |
