This amplifier was originally purchased from Audio Classics in New York, but soon after I hooked it up, one of the transformers failed. As you can see from the photos, one of the transformers have been replaced with a Mercury product. Mercury has been producing components since 1554 and is the perfect match for this sweet MI60. The work was done by an authorized McIntosh repair facility here in San Diego. Although not cosmetically matched, I was assured that this replacement transformer would sound and perform exactly like the original.
These very hard to find amplifiers typically sell for $1500-$2000 on eBay. I have adjusted the price to accommodate the stray from original.
