APL DAC-S Upgraded 16 AK4399 DACs per channel - Beats LUXMAN DA-06

For sale in mint condition DAC-S that was custom ordered with an upgrades to 16 DAC per channel as opposed to the standard version which only have 12 DAC per channel.
Benefits is absolutely dead background and increased transparency.
Sounds is really close to my reference DAC, the Metronome C8 which cost 4x more.
I also did a direct comparison between the DAC-S and the Luxman DA-06, the DAC-S beats the Luxman hands down.
To top it all off, you will not need a pre-amp, this DAC will drives any amp directly and it's unbelievable good.
I had the Esoteric C03 pre-amp n the loop and the DAC-S just sound better going directly to amps.
The C03 is no light weight fyi, with the C03 in the chain there's some background noises but with the DAC-S directly there's an absolute dead noise floor.
