Amazing speakers with very little cabinet chips and scratches. These speakers have the MIT tails and have recently been upgraded to the Watt 7 tweeters and I replaced both sets of mid range resistors. The difference is sound is acoustically apparent when compared side by with other WP 5's or 5.1's. I have also replaced the Diffraction pads and bought new speaker covers. These come with the isolation cones and accessories. I do not have the shipping boxes for these so local pick up is preferred. | The production run for the 5 series speakers was from 1995 to 2000. They came out with the watt puppy 6 in 2000. Thanks for your interest.

| How much were the tweeters and could you elaborate on the sound difference.

rpw tweeters were $500 each from Wilson audio. with new diffuser pads grills and resistors it came to a little over $1800.
The highs are much cleaner and crisp. there seems to be more separation between the highs and mids also. |
