These amps have NOS tubes and extra bias fuses. They have the optional flat face without handles for a clean look.
It is impressive to hear tube amps that have a lot of power. These are not "tuby" sounding but are harmonically rich and large in staging size.
There are certain styles of speakers that crave tubes and sometimes these speakers are also power hungry. These amps drive ribbon and electrostatic speakers better than about anything and are more reliable than OTL amps.

| how many watts per channel? both triode and tetrode or just tetrode? john. It is 450 watts in pentode and 225 watts per channel into triod.
Pentode is actually the most tonally neutral but triod has a velvety midrange that is seductive and fluid. |
| What condition are the tubes in? The tubes are NOS tubes with 50% of their life used.
The most reasonable and reliable tubes actually come from VTL and are not very expensive but the ones in this amp were expensive. I will have to open them up to see what Brand. He used to use Mullards. |
