ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:
The Talon Phoenix is the culmination of Rives Audio understanding rooms and how speakers integrate into rooms and the engineering talent from Talon to develop the finest integration of cabinet, drivers and crossover.
This design is truly a breakthrough in speaker innovation. First, it is completely modular. The mid tweeter cabinet is separate from the bass cabinet which reduces bass resonance in the mid tweeter cabinet thereby improving clarity dramatically. This modular approach also makes installation far easier than trying to muscle the full 370 lbs of speaker all at once. But the modularity didn't stop there. One of the most impactful innovations is the
entirely removeable crossover, housed in it's own case in back of the bass cabinet. This allows for easy upgrades to future designs.
The beauty of the Phoenix is beyond compare. High gloss automotive finish is not only beautiful but durable as well. And the beauty is a full 360 degrees. The back of the speaker shows no visible hardware or holes. The grills are magnetic and make the speaker look magnificent with or without grills.
But the most important aspect is the sound. These speakers are full and play much larger
than their size would suggest. The bass is authoritative and very deep creating the kind of
foundation that make large scale orchestral work sound realistic. Drums and rock music play effortlessly at all volumes, but low level nuances are particularly captivating.
