For sale is a McIntosh MC225 I purchased from Vintage Vacuum Audio one year ago. Yves’ faithful method for rebuilding these has evolved over time into one stellar sounding amplifier.
It looks great overall and performs flawlessly. Yves did not clean/refinish the tops of the transformers since he felt it would remove some of the writing, and there is some crud there.

Sprague Atom axial electrolytic caps, coupling caps a combination of paper in
oil and polypropilene, bypass caps a combination of mylar and polypr., silver
micas in feedback network. Resistors a combination of carbon comps, carbon
films, and metal film, the critical 22k 2W pairs are Kiwame audiophile carbon
film handmatched within 1% (specs call for 2%)
All vintage tubes, all tested and all strong.
Amp is completely quiet, fully operational, and extremely musical.”
