Westminster was considered to be the Mobile Fidelity of the 1950s, and produced outstanding recordings that were the yardstick for every other major label of the period, including Mercury. These are some of the most desirable titles in the entire series, and they are in mostly Near Mint condition, which is astounding as these were released during the 1950s. Included are the complete set of Bartok “String Quartets 1-6” (3 volumes) with the Parrenin Quartet; the Prokofiev “Piano Sonatas” (3 volumes) with Yuri Boukoff; Oliver Messiaen “Vingt Regards sur L’Enfant-Jesus” (2 volumes) with Yvonne Loriod; Brahms “Piano Quartet #1” with Joerg Demus and members of The Barylli Quartet, Bartok “Mikrokosmos” (3 volumes) with Edith Farnadi, and other treasures. Folks, much of this material is as rare as hen’s teeth! And you won’t believe the condition: Jackets overall are in Very Good Plus to Near Mint condition, with the only real issue being that some of the spines are split but fronts and backs look lovely; the LPs overall are in Near Mint condition, most look like they’ve been played once.
