Thoress F2A11 Integrated Amplifier

Thoress F2A11 Integrated S.E.T.  Purchased one year ago for a seldom used office system which I am now getting rid of.  I am the 2nd owner and purchased from Authorized Dealer.  Amplifier has been sparingly used with Devore Speakers and Garrard 301 Source. Amplifier comes with original box, all tubes, printed manual (online) and original receipt from Authorized Dealer.  First 7 pictures are from original listing ad by Authorized Dealer, last one is picture from my study.  Currently wired for 8 ohm load and voltage at 120v.  1st owner was estimated to have put ~1,000 hours on tubes, I used for another 300 hours.  F2A11 estimated life of tube is ~20,000 hours so barely broken in.  Paypal +3.5%, actual shipping costs.  See Thoress website for more details.

Offered for sale here is a trade in Thoress F2A11 Integrated S.E.T. amplifier.  Its 8 months old and is in like new condition. Comes with its box but no manual as it's a down load from the Thoress site. 

The Thoress F2A11 Integrated S.E.T. employs (surprise, surprise) two NOS Siemens F2A11 beam power tetrodes, made famous by the Klangfilm cinema amplifiers of post-war Germany. These N.O.S. professional grade tubes are known not only for meeting very tight specs and being extremely reliable, but also for offering excellent subjective sound quality (when operating in triode mode). They are certainly on par with the finest directly heated triodes such as the 2A3 or 300B. The driver tube is a carefully selected N.O.S. Tung-Sol 12SN7GT tube.

The amplifier provides three inputs for line-level sources, selected by means of a rotary switch located on the rear panel of the amplifier. The volume of each channel is adjusted separately from the top of the amplifier via carefully matched high-grade rotary potentiometers. The mains transformer and output transformers are wound in-house to ensure the highest quality and reliability. The output transformers feature tape-wound cut cores (C-cores) and allow for precise matching of a 4, 8 or 16 ohm load (currently set at 8 ohms).

Power output is a massive 8 watts class A so you need efficient speakers starting around 94db >.  It's a lovely match to the speakers I also have for sale.  The Thoress F2A11 is entirely hand-built and hard-wired, whereby every detail of the internal construction has been carefully considered for reliability and ease of service.  The build quality is of the highest order.  Wish all products were built like this.

Voltage is 230/120V selectable via jumpers on the transformer. It is wired for 120V at present.
