Tung Sol/Chatham 5998 (IBM 2399)

Four Tung Sol/Chatham 5998 (IBM #2399). The 2399 is an IBM part number an branded by TS to Chatham. Bought from Vacumetubes.net for my Woo WA2 as backups but never used and stored after verifying output levels were close (fixed frequency tone) and tubes physically sound with all socket/pin inspected. Vacuumtubes.net (Dale) has offered to field any specific questions on these tubes, just mention this listing specifically when you call (just touched base w/them).

One tube has a almost invisible chard of loose glass which I was told was a common thing in 5998 manufacturing (s-filament remnant) and harmless.

My first set continue to function perfectly and recently bought a matched pair of TS 7236. I no longer need six 5998s. Great tubes if you can find them reasonably priced. Hope I have offered that. If the quad listing does not sell I will be offering each individually at $125 per.
