I thought this would make a nice instant-collection of some of the most rare ADS, and also what I think are the best ADS ever made.
I prefer to sell them all at once to someone who would really value them, but I will consider splitting them if they don't sell as a set.
A little negotiable on price if it's an easy transaction. If it becomes a long complex transaction then I'm firm.

Three pairs of speakers, plus a pair of working PA1 crossover/amps. I have a lot more photos but only uploaded a few here.
Note that a PA1 system means no need for an amp, and no need for speaker cables (just a line-level RCA cable).
The PA1 is a true biamp system, not bi-wired. I'm not aware of anybody today that makes a biamp system.

Rosewood L1590/2 with PA1 (active crossover with internal amps)
- Just refinished by a professional speaker cabinet expert.
- All brand new midranges and tweeters by Richard So.
- PA1 active crossover with amps installed and working.
- Nearly flawless cabinets and grills.
- Sequential serial numbers on both speakers and amps.
- Matched Rosewood veneers (refinished a little darker and more subtle if WAF is an issue)

Rosewood L1590/2
- Really nice condition. All original.
- Sequential serial numbers.
- Matched Rosewood veneers (original, more red-gold in color)
There a few small flaws in the veneer, but not easy to see.
There is some mild sun fading on the front but with the grills on you can't tell. I left them original finish.
The midrange domes are original so you can see the top halves are a little aged compared to the bottom half (which look new), but up to you if you want to change them out with Richard So.
Note - these need tweeter rebuilds (everything else works and can be demo'd). I thought I'd put them up for like they are since I'm busy. It's a little over $100 to have him do the pair. If these don't sell I'll have them done and then re-list them. Missing one terminal cap which is $3 from Richard, never picked one up, mostly didn't care since I only use banana plugs.

Walnut L1290/2 with PA1 crossover/amps.
- Original drivers
- Sequential serial numbers
- Mirror imaged walnut veneers

ADS PA1 crossover/amps (spare set, tested working).
- Sequential serial numbers
- Comes with power cables and line-level cables and special attachment bolts.

The PA1 is a lot more than just amps. The active crossover inside them means that your 1590 will sound even better than the 1290 through the mids and highs. And it will tighten the bass to be more like the 1290, but with far more power and deeper extension.
If you use them on the 1290 then you get the most accurate of the ADS models, but could probably use a sub for LFE.
If you've heard of the ADS C-2000 box for the xx30 generation, the PA1 is similar but more advanced, and with amps built-in.
Note that you do not need any amps with PA1 systems. Two of the speaker pairs here come with PA1, and I have a third pair of spare PA1.

In the series 2 of the xx90 speakers, they had to be special ordered for PA1 and they did a "cutout" on the back of the speakers and moved the crossover panel to the back instead of the standard bottom placement. There are special bolts that attach the PA1 into the speaker cutouts.
You can use the PA1 on 1290/1590 models without the cutouts, but you might need a short extension to the standard connectors on the PA1 and they would have to sit on the floor behind your speakers.

I don't think any external amp can match the clean and accurate sound you'll get with the PA1. Note that this assumes the speakers are still in spec, and most ADS speakers sold used today are not in spec, leading to a lot of false opinions on their performance.
The custom-matched active-crossover system by ADS with the matched internal amps are too much of an advantage for an external amp to equal. An external amp system starts with a number of disadvantages compared to the PA1, because the PA1 system provides lower IM, better damping, and better Q Factor.

You can not just buy an active crossover and a pair of amps and duplicate the PA1. It is custom matched by ADS for things like crossover points, slopes, power levels, power split, etc.
The PA1 system is about equal to an amp with 180 watts a channel.
