For your consideration: My Eastern Electric M-156 monoblocks. These amps have been professionally retro fitted to accept the KT-120 or KT-150 tubes (modification created by Alex Yeung the original designer of the amps). They currently have KT-120s installed. The sound improved across the music spectrum. These amps are also factory fitted with the Mundorf Silver & Oil caps (a total of 6 per amp). This was a $700 factory upgrade. Also included are the HAL tube dampers. The Eastern Electric M-156 monos deliver 160 watts of pure tube power. Each amp has its own dedicated power supply providing complete isolation between each channel. With 4, 8 and 16 ohm taps on the rear these amps will drive any speaker on the market today. Point to point wiring throughout. For those looking for lots of pure, clean tube power at a reasonable price these amps can't be matched! Please Google these amps to read the many glowing reviews!!! I will conservatively rate these amps as a 7 as I am not the original owner and there are 2 small apologies to note. 1) there is a small ding near the 4 ohm output in the back of one amp. It is in the back of the amp and does not affect the performance in any way. 2) the knob that switches the tubes to be biased is loose on one amp. It has to be pushed in slightly when setting the bias. Again it does not affect the performance of the amp. These amps will be shipped in their original boxes but are heavy. A complete set of Tungsol KT-120s (total of 8) and 4 vintage RCA 12AU7 black plates will be shipped in a separate box. I do have an extra quad of new Tungsol KT-120 which I can include for an additional $100. Please feel free to call me at (904) 838-1160 or email me with any questions. Thanks for your consideration, Randy

Questions for the seller
I have a couple questions if you don't mind answering. What year were the amplifiers built? Are the tubes sockets ceramic or plastic? When were the amps modified and have you heard them with kt150 tubes?
I believe the M156 came out in 2008. I am the 2nd owner and purchase them in 2015. The serial numbers in mine are 0200712 and 0210712. I do not know the exact year but it would seem these were the 712 pair built. The socket for the input tubes are ceramic and for the power tubes plastic. I have not used KT-150 tubes as it was sold to me with KT-120s already in it. I did buy a quad of extra 120s but never had to use them. Bill at Morningstar may be able to help with the build date as he is the only importer of EE equipment. Hope this helps. You can always call if you want to chat about the amps. Also if you are near the Jacksonville area you can come by and have a listen. You won't be disappointed. Randy
