DESCRIPTION:
German made, elegant, ultra-modern 2-way Tower. Features a slanted-back attitude and a trapezoidal profile. Stereo Focus is maximized by the slim dimensions, while the 7 degree slant achieves time delay compensation between the drivers, optimizing the phase integration on the phase axis. Pipe-like internal enclosure contains a 1.7" thick Foam Layer that lines the top section constituting an acoustic filter for the upper chamber and also helping to control the main vertical standing wave. Bituminous Dampening quiets the upper panels of the enclosure. Circumferential Braces in a cascade of reducing apertures 'taper' the 'pipe' to further control the otherwise undamped lower section. A fairly large 2.4" diameter Flared Port completes the reflex configuration via a 7.1" long duct tuned to 45Hz. Custom 4.75" Bass Driver has a vacuum molded clear/transparent XP (high polymer) flared cone with a low loss surround, fitted with a 1" pole, dual paralleled section and high inductance voice-coil. Custom .75" hard anodized aluminum dome tweeter. Both drivers built by Vifa of Norway. High quality gold plated 5-way binding posts. Four screw mounted Base featuring four adjustable height threaded Spiked Feet.

*Note that the profile (viewed from the side) shape of the cabinet IS a true trapezoid. The top surface of the cabinets is horizontal/level (unlike the way they appear in the first & second photos). To get a better sense of this, view the second-to-the-last photo.

One owner (myself) purchased these towers 'New' in August, 2000. Conservatively used. Have only ever been connected to a Cary Audio SLA 70 Signature Tube Amp (39 watts). Have been unused and stored in a spare bedroom closet in their original shipping carton for the past 7+ years. Includes Original Shipping Carton/Packaging and additional info (reviews). Well cared for and in excellent condition, aside from some light scuffing near Bases (see pictures).
