Absolare Altius Preamplifier

I am reluctantly selling my Absolare Limited Edition Altius preamplifier. I am the original owner of this superb preamplifier and I have owned it for 3.5 years. The Absolare Limited Edition Altius preamplifier is the top of the line preamplifier in the Absolare product line. This is a minimalist preamplifier in that it is totally focused on producing the best possible sound without any additional bells and whistles.

The feature set of this very special preamplifier is as follows:
1. This preamplifier has three inputs – one pair of RCA inputs and 2 pair of XLR inputs.
2. This preamplifier has 2 sets of outputs – 1 pair of RCA and one pair of XLR outputs.
3. This preamplifier comes with 3 of the optional Absolare Stabilian footers. I have compared these footers to Stillpoint Ultra 5 footers and the Absolare Stabilian footers are sonically superior when used with this preamplifier.
4. This preamplifier comes in Absolare’s beautiful black leather finish with red stitching.
5. This preamplifier comes with a Synergistic Research Black Quantum fuse.
6. Absolare does not supply a stock power cord with this preamplifier so you can use any power cord that you wish. It does use a 15 amp IEC connector.
7. As for tubes, this preamplifier uses 2 tubes from the 12AU7 (and 12AU7 compatible) tube family. One tube is used as the input tube (this is the tube closest to the front panel of the unit) and the second tube is used as the output tube (the tube closest to the back of the unit). The tubes do not need to be the same 12AU7 (or 12AU7 equivalent) so you can tailor the sound that best suits your system and your sonic preferences. I am including three sets of tubes with this preamp as follows: Two NOS RCA Command Series 5814 tubes, Two Phillips E80CC tubes and one NOS 1950’s Mullard Square getter (wonderful as the input tube) paired with a NOS 1963 Mazda 12AU7WAH triple mica tube as the output tube.
8. This preamplifier does not have a remote control.
9. The preamplifier will ship in its own flight case and I will pack the flight case inside of a well padded shipping box.

The Absolare Limited Edition Altius preamplifier has been the heart of my audio system for the past 3.5 years. It is sonically superb and has been extremely reliable. Absolare, as a company is a joy to work with and they truly treat their customers like family. It has been a very hard decision for me to sell this preamplifier.
